project health 8-week programme

The best of what we know and do. Designed to create lifestyle change that lasts. Personalised measurement, assessment, pathway-creation, and support from qualified nutrition and exercise professionals. Project Health (8 weeks) is focused on what matters to you, targeting factors affecting your quality of life such as:
Cholesterol
Blood pressure
Type 2 Diabetes
Overweight/Obesity
If diet or exercise habits are affecting your quality of life, and you want to change, reach out to chat or request a call back.

Metabolic Testing

Measure your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR): the minimum amount of energy (kcal) your body needs every day. From metabolic testing it is possible to more accurately plan dietary intake to bring about body composition change - whether reducing fat or gaining muscle. You can also train smarter, optimise pacing, and dial in nutrition for performance or weight-change goals.€125

Nutritional Coaching

Long-term body composition change is transformative in its effect on illness as well as quality of life. There is no quick-fix. However, you can remove the guess-work by speaking to experts in diet and exercise, understanding your metrics, and having a clear evidence-based pathway.€75..

Lifestyle Health Plan

A condensed alternative to the 8-week programme which has reduced contact time but keeps the core elements. For those with reduced availability who are happy to self-motivate once a clear roadmap has been created. The Lifestyle Health Plan consists of one initial visit with both Nutritionist and Physiotherapist to: assess goals/needs, determine current dietary habits and exercise capacity/ barriers, and address any concerns. We will ask you questions to determine the optimal sustainable changes for your time and effort, again specific to your circumstances. We recommend you follow this combined diet and exercise advice for at least 3 months. Checking-in to re-assess (at a reduced fee) is recommended monthly or at the 3-month point.€140

Ongoing support

Support works. Motivation comes and goes but established habits allow small changes to consistently move the needle for lasting change. Support re-sets us when we veer off-course (which happens, because life happens). Project Health functions as a support structure in a way that suits you.

What is project health?

Project Health is a program designed by local Physiotherapist Shane Keogh and Nutritionist Conor Verbruggen, focused on improving community health through diet and exercise. The program helps delay or avoid medication for conditions like high cholesterol, hypertension, and insulin resistance by providing personalised, evidence-based plans and ongoing support. Participants receive metabolic testing (e.g., Basal Metabolic Rate, VO2max) to track their progress and tailor their health journey. In collaboration with GPs, the project is a valuable referral tool for preventive care, addressing lifestyle-related health issues in East Leinster. It’s not a gym or quick-fix solution—just practical, science-backed health guidance accessible to everyone.
